Company History

Established in 1992, Central Valley Classics was initially a classic car dealer. Around 2000 it evolved into a consignment business to help owners sell their cars. Today we offer more than just consignment sales.

We still have a limited, appointment based showroom and combined with the Internet we are able to serve a much greater number of clientele. We have sold cars to enthusiasts all over this country and in over 20 other countries. Of course several of the cars on the website are located in our showroom for viewing. The Used Parts section was added this year and we have added eBay auctions as a stand alone option for those clients interested that route. We have sold over 500 cars through our site and over 50 through the auction process.

We moved into a new building to house the vehicles in inventory and it doubles as a warehouse for our new addition, used classic car parts. We broke ground on Jan. 12, 2007 and it was completed in Mar., we are constantly evolving and you will be seeing updates as changes to the website as they occur.

Meet Our StaffJohn Beneditz

My name is John Beneditz, the owner of Central Valley Classics. I just love these old cars, my interest began at an early age. I had uncle's that worked on cars, I was always running tools for them and asking questions along the way. By the time I was 14 years old I'd purchased my first car, a 1970 Nova SS 350 four-speed. I grew up on and around farms in Wisconsin so I learned to drive when I was old enough to reach the pedals, sitting on the front edge of the seat.

Over the past 30 years or so, I have evolved from a budding enthusiast into an experienced restorer and avid car collector. I have restored award-winning vehicles and have owned many classics, muscle cars and rods. I have several ongoing projects including a 66 Plymouth Valiant convertible, 69 Dart GTS convertible, 50 Plymouth Custom Project and a 69 Dart GT Pro-Tour.

My professional automotive career began with 7 years in the automotive repair field, becoming an ASE certified mechanic, body man and later a body shop manager, with about 12 years in automotive sales, marketing and auto dealership management mixed in. I purchased this business in 2004, I felt it was my calling.

"Some of the greatest works of art are these old cars, my hats off to the sculptors and painters of these treasures."
